OK, it's the tail end of rut, February 2010. He's blowing his coat, he sporting urine scald on his legs, his hooves are long, and he generally looks pretty unkempt, BUT check out the beautiful angulation, lovely straight and wide rear legs, height and arch of the escutcheon, looong hip, strong topline, refined dairy neck, and general elegance under all that scruffiness. Even at his worst, this is still a very pretty boy, don't you think? And Morgan has consistently produced offspring that mirror his elegant style, like his daughter Rose. He has a number of daughters that will freshen in 2010, and I'm looking forward to seeing what their udders are like. With outstanding udder and production genetics from both his dam and his paternal granddam, I have high hopes!
