OK, so it takes a discerning eye to see the beauty in an unclipped buck in rut.
Valentino is a very long, dairy, F1 buckskin with elf ears, strong feet and legs, and a cavernous escutcheon area. You can click on either picture for a closer look. Valentino consistently throws refined kids with that same remarkably high and open escutcheon area, strong feet and legs, and excellent width between the hocks. Jack is a lovely, gopher-eared, 62.5% Lamancha buck owned by Geri at Sweetbrier Ridge. Geri brought Jack up to Washington last summer from Jolly Rogers in Arizona (thank you Karen!!) to provide us with an outcross that would maintain or improve the quality of our herds. Jack is a long, sharp, dairy boy with great width and body capacity, a long, level hip (not shown in this picture!), a high, open escutcheon, and excellent feet and legs. In addition, he carries outstanding genetics, going back to PGCH Piddlin Acres Blue Thunder +*S (AGS) on both dam and sire, and to Lamanchas from Lucky* Star's and Double T Ranch. We are very pleased to have Jack here in Washington!
